The management hub: the direction behind every site we cover.
Around a hundred stores in northern Italy, hundreds of shifts every month, a single point of direction. From our management hub in Turin we plan services, check that every assignment starts at the agreed time, cover absences and keep a record of every report. The client does not have to chase anyone: they have one contact who always knows who is on duty, where and since when.
A carefully chosen word
Why a “management” hub and not an “operations” centre.
Many in the Italian industry still call it a “centrale operativa”, and for years so did we. But in the language of Italian private security, a “centrale operativa” in the strict sense belongs to licensed armed security companies (vigilanza privata): it receives alarms and dispatches sworn security officers to respond. We do not do this, and we do not let anyone think otherwise. That is why we call it a management hub (“centrale gestionale”): it governs what really matters to anyone buying an ongoing service, namely the people, the shifts, continuity and the quality of cover on site.
What it does
Six functions, one goal: no site left uncovered.
How it is organised
From the hub to the site, with no needless layers.
The hub is split into two areas, North-West and North-East Italy, each with its own manager who knows the stores, the contacts and the staff in that territory. In the field, our area supervisors receive the plans from the hub, hand them to the officers, check they have been received and flag at once any holidays, leave, sickness or other need that calls for an adjustment. Fewer intermediaries, fewer mistakes, faster responses.
The means behind the direction
Those who check do not wait for a lift.
The quality of on-site cover is not decided in an office: it is checked on the spot, often without notice. That is why Demetra’s senior management and regional managers travel in a company fleet of fifteen cars, throughout northern Italy. One is permanently assigned to the management hub in Turin, for replacements and urgent needs. They are not a branding exercise: they are the reason an anomaly gets a site visit, not a phone call.

What it means for you
The value of central direction shows on the difficult days.
Continuity of service even when people are missing. Quality control that does not depend on who is on shift. Shorter reaction times when something is wrong. And something few suppliers can offer: a traceable record of what happened in your store, month by month, in the report you receive.
Opening hours
Staffed in the office, always reachable.
Not a faceless phone number: a real office, at street level, in Turin. This is where the team that plans shifts, checks attendance and arranges replacements for every site we cover does its work.

The hub is staffed Monday to Friday, from 9:00 to 17:00 (Italian time). Outside these hours, in the evening, overnight and on public holidays, continuous on-call cover handles replacements and urgent needs. We state this precisely because it is exactly what we offer: a management service for concierge and access-control assignments, not an alarm-monitoring centre.
